National Talent Search Exam (NTSE 2012) is scheduled to be held tomorrow on 20th Nov 2011. NCERT conducts the NTSE for students studying in class 8th only
1000 scholarships will be given for each group of students. The amount of scholarship is Rs. 500 per month. 15% scholarships are reserved for SC category students, 7.5% scholarships for ST category students and 3% for Physically Challenged group.
Selection will be based on performance in Stage I and Stage II papers. Students qualified in Stage I will be eligible for Stage II exam. For Stage-I, selection will be made by states/UTs.
Stage II (National) exam will be held on 13th May 2012 in all states and UTs.
Stage I NTSE 2012 at the State/UT level will comprise 2 parts (i) Mental Ability Test and (ii) Scholastic Ability Test that will cover social sciences, sciences and math subjects.
Stage II exam will be conducted at the National level. It will comprise (a) Mental Ability Test (b) Scholastic Ability Test that will cover social sciences, sciences and math (c) Interview.
Announcement of Results: NTSE Results of the Stage-I examination will be announced by the respective State Governments/ Union Territories. Results of Stage-II examination will be announced by NCERT.
